Research Interests:

Research:

The fission yeast serves as a useful model system for studying cellular mechanics; in our experiment we are interested in understanding the viscoelastic properties of its cytoplasm. Using DIC (Differential Interference Contrast) Microscopy and Single Particle Tracking techniques, we study the mobility of intracellular particles in order to characterize changes in cytoplasmic behavior.
